HP does not provide updated drivers for Windows 11. The Officejet 7110 is not listed in any support. Are there compatible third-party drivers? Thanks.

Hi @Victorbat,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you’re looking for updated drivers for your HP OfficeJet 7110 on Windows 11 and wondering if compatible third-party drivers exist.

The OfficeJet 7110 is an older model that has reached end-of-support status. As part of HP’s product lifecycle policy, we provide drivers and software for supported models on currently supported operating systems. Because Windows 11 was released after the OfficeJet 7110 product lifecycle ended:

  • HP does not provide Windows 11–specific drivers for the OfficeJet 7110
  • The model is not listed on the current Windows 11 support pages
  • No new driver packages are being released for this printer on Windows 11

This is why you’re not seeing the OfficeJet 7110 listed in the support site for Windows 11.

What You Can Do

1. Use Built-in Windows Drivers OR Install Generic Drivers

Windows 11 includes generic drivers that can sometimes provide basic printing capability:

  1. Go to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners
  2. Click Add Device
  3. See if Windows detects your OfficeJet 7110, OR Install Generic driver: HP Universal Print Driver for Windows Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
  4. If prompted, allow the “generic printer driver” to install

This may allow printing but may not support all printer features (scanning if applicable, advanced ink control, maintenance tools, etc.).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Thank you so much for the instructions. I managed to configure the generic HP printer driver, and everything works fine. It was difficult because I had found a third party driver that seemed useful, but after paying to download it, I was offered alternative drivers for my PC, a Zbook Create G7. I downloaded some of these, thinking they would be useful, but they only caused me problems, and the printer driver wasn't available. Thanks again.

Hi @Victorbat,

Thank you so much for the update. I’m really glad to hear that the generic HP printer driver worked and your printer is now functioning properly.

I understand how frustrating it can be when third-party driver sites seem promising but end up causing more issues, especially after payment and multiple downloads that don’t resolve the actual problem. You did the right thing by switching to the supported driver approach.

If you notice any unusual behavior on your PC after installing those other drivers, I would recommend removing them to keep the system stable.

We truly appreciate your patience and effort throughout the process. If you need any help in the future, please feel free to reach out. We’re always here to help.

Take care and have an amazing day!
