Microsoft Windows Vista

Hi everyone! Your help on this is much appreciated.

I'm uprading from Vista to Windows 7 (yes I know .... don't say anything :O) the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Report recommends before installing Windows 7 to go to the device manufacturer's website for 'Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection' to download the latest driver for the device and install the saved driver after installing Windows 7.

However haven't had success in locating said driver.

Help please...

Hi:

You can get the latest driver directly from Intel...It is a large file because it contains the drivers for multiple operating systems.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22283/Ethernet-Intel-Ethernet-Adapter-Complete-Driver-Pack...

The easiest way to install the updated driver would be like this...

Unzip the file to its folder.

Go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category.

Click on the Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network adapter listed there.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC and recheck the driver version and date on the Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection driver tab.
