Lost HP 5055 set up cartridges

My HP 5055 setup cartridges got thrown, & instead of using the replacements I bought & installed, my printer prompts me to use the set up cartridges to make things work.  When I asked what I could do to bypass that step & use the printer I purchased, I received this response: 

Thanks for waiting, here's what you need to do:

• Press TL, BL, TL, TL to enter the Engineering Menu>Service Menu>Resets Menu>OOBE Reset.
  • TL means the top left corner of the printer's screen. It is the home symbol.
  • BL means the bottom left corner of the printer's screen. It is the return arrow symbol. 
• Once done, restart the printer and it should be fine.

However, nowhere on my printer screen do I see a home symbol or return arrow. Do I need to remove the extra cartridges for, or? I’m stuck.

I have shared the alternate instructions.

• The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
