Had originally moved Windows default contact folder from C:\Users\MyPC\Contacts to a folder on my Network Drive. Up to recently, used Word documents, faxed via the HP Printer Fax option to access my contacts under the defaulted Network Drive Contacts folder. When I originally changed the default, under both the original and newly defaulted contacts folder, my contacts were available under the currently defaulted contact folder.

However, when I recently changed my network drive's IP address from dynamic to a permanent static IP, these contacts are no longer available when accessing them via the HP Printer Fax option even though the network drive's contact folder did not change, only the IP address.

Figuring I needed to change the default setting, selecting properties of both the original and new network drives contact folder, neither provides the "Location" tab in order to change the default. Assuming that somehow changing the IP address on the current network drive contact folder, somehow changed the default setting, is there some other way to reset the contact default folder? Otherwise if not the IP address, is there a way to get my contacts back under the HP Printer Fax option?

Never mind. Was looking for the location tab under properties, which no longer displayed, but finally found a search article about changing it in the registry. Found the path there was still set to the old IP address for my network drive. Changed that to the new IP address and behold, there were my contacts again. Simple, but spent hours trying to find this, with zero responses on both Windows and HP Forums. Again, I am about 1 for 150 on valid responses on forums. Anyway, if anyone else has this problem, here is the Registry path to these shell settings.....
