I received this printer as a gift two years ago and unfortunately threw the set up cartridges without knowing it. Finally setting it up I paid for a month of support and the agent could not help me because the ODBE option is not listed under the system configuration menu where she expected it to be. She did not know what else to do she gave up and tried to get me to buy a new printer.
Does anyone know what I should do? Do I have a firmware version that is different than others and this could be the problem?

Thank you

@LS1945, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you do not have the setup ink cartridges. We will have to perform an OOB reset on the printer to resolve this issue. To do this, you will need to insert both HP regular ink cartridges in the printer.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
