I have multiple HP M102W printers in which we are unable to access the settings via the WEB interface because it is asking for a password which we do not know.  How do I recover/reset the password to a known password?  The reason we need to login is because we need to set a static IP.

@MrLesW Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you want to reset the password for your HP LaserJet Pro M102w Printer.

Let's go through a few steps that may help to fix this issue.

And here are a few steps listed below:

1. Print a configuration page to determine the IP address or hostname.

a. Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button until the Ready light begins blinking.

b. Release the Resume/Cancel button.

2. Open a web browser, and in the address line, type the IP address or host name exactly as it displays on the printer configuration page. Press the Enter key on the computer keyboard. The EWS opens.

NOTE: If the web browser displays a message indicating that accessing the website might not be safe, select the option to continue to the website. Accessing this website will not harm the computer.

3. On the System tab, click the Administration link in the left navigation pane.

4. In the area labeled Product Security, enter the password in the Password field.

5. Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password field.

6. Click the Apply button.

NOTE: Make note of the password and store it in a safe place.

Let me know how this works.

Thanks but my issue was that I do not know the original password so I can not login to change it.  I just wanted it to be reset to no password.

I have since resolved the problem.
