Hi @Danda6,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're unable to find the specific driver for your HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw printer for Windows 11, here’s what you can try:

Option 1: Use HP's Official Website

Visit HP's Official Support Website: Go to HP's support page and enter your printer model (HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw) in the search box.

Download the Latest Driver: Look for the latest driver compatible with Windows 11. Sometimes, drivers that work with Windows 10 can also work with Windows 11, so it's worth checking.

Option 2: Windows Update

  1. Let Windows Update Handle It: Windows 11 often includes drivers through Windows Update. Make sure your PC is connected to the internet and fully updated. Sometimes, Windows Update can automatically find and install the correct driver for your printer.

Option 3: Use a Generic Driver

Select a Similar Model: If the specific driver for HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw is not available, you can try using a similar model’s driver that is listed for Windows 11.

  • Look for a driver for another HP Color LaserJet model that uses a similar printing language or chipset.
  • For example, drivers for HP Color LaserJet Pro M252dw or HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw might work since they are from the same series.

Option 4: HP App (HP Smart App)

Use the HP Smart App: Install the HP Smart app on your phone or laptop. This app often includes drivers and can facilitate wireless printing directly to your HP printer.

  • Download the HP Smart app from your app store (Google Play Store for Android, Apple App Store for iOS).
  • Follow the app’s instructions to connect and set up your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi @Gaya1239,

Someway somehow I could download a compatible software but still not printing. It's not printing 8/10.

I have a new aftermarket cartridges what's printing in nice quality but it takes loads of time to make it work. It happened with the previous aftermarket cartridges too.

Tried to make it print from two different mobiles, tablet and laptop. Started to load and make some preparation for printing and got stopped. (Printing documents)

Thankfully.
