Product: Color LaserJet Pro M254dw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2016

We are trying to install our M254dw printers on to one of our servers with Windows 2016

 

I went to the HP website and selected my OS - Windows 2016

 

It suggested the basic driver: LJM253-M254_UWWL_Basicx64_44.3.2218

 

I downloaded and went to install, but when installing it said the driver was not supported.

 

The M252dw seem to install fine on Windows 2016 OS, so why havent HP made one that works for M254? or if someone could link me to the driver on HP's website that would be great

Hi,

You may download the HP Universal Print Driver from the download page which will go through a standard installation interface.

 

You may also install the basic drivers you have mentioned, those however must be installed from the command line on a server, not by following a standard installation.

 

Follow the 'Customize the installation' section within below document to install those from the command line, be sure to add an ENTERPRISE = Yes argument as listed by this section for a successful installation.
