My printer downloaded and installed a firmware update labeled 202010121.  Now my printer will not use third party cartridges that, up until this update, worked perfectly.  I have ensured that both the cartridge policy and cartridge protection options are set to off.

 

Also my printer now no longer works on my WIFI network.  I cannot scan to my computer or hard drive plugged into my wireless router.  Both of these functions worked prior to the firmware update.

 

This is an HP M281fdw purchased in September 2018.  It is out of warranty.  I would like to roll back the firmware so that this machine is actually usable for anything again.  Currently I cannot scan, copy, or print.

We will have to downgrade the printer firmware to resolve this issue.

 

I have sent you a private message with a set of instructions to perform a reset. Kindly check the same, this might help you to resolve this issue. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
