Microsoft Windows Server 2016

Hello! I'm trying to install an HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w printer to my system running Windows Server 2016 via USB. I've even downloaded the driver specifically for Server 2016 and it's telling me the following:

 

"This computer does not meet the following system requirement(s):

 

The Operating System of this computer is not supported. For a list of supported Operating Systems, please check http://www.hp.com or your printer documentation. Install this software on a computer with supported Operating system.

 

The installation cannot continue. Follow the instructions above to resolve the issue(s) listed, and then restart the installation."

 

 

I tried changing what Windows would announce itself as in the registry but that doesn't work either. What do?

Hi,

Follow 'Customize the installation' below to install the printer on a server, you must use an MSIEXEC command to install it on a server, not using the standard installation wizard:
