M454DW

I purchased a new HP m454dw a couple days ago set it up, upgraded the firmware to 1.1924A.00, and the problems begin.

When I click the Apps button from the home screen it displays a loading icon that eventually times out after 3 to 5 minutes. On the embedded server under web services there isn’t any place to add apps either.

Does anyone have an m454dw where the apps load and let me know the firmware version? Or any other things to try before I take this back?

On a side note:  HP you have the worst customer service. You should be ashamed. I will never buy another HP product. I wasted 4 hours today with various customer support people from around the world with no solution.

The first response was ... do you really need that feature? ... Seriously? How about delivering a product that works or at least provide better customer support than xfinity.

Sorry I don't have an answer but I am experiencing the same problem with my Hp 8035 that I bought in May 2019. It was working fine up until a week ago and now every time I push the app button on the printer it just says "updating print apps..." It's beyond frustrating because I just want to print lined paper from the apps. I went online and downloaded some paper templates to print from my phone and it won't print all the way to the edge on all 4 sides and I have it set up to print on every inch of the paper. So I put a piece of lined paper in the document feeder and tried it that way as well as on the scanner and both printed it with gaps on all 4 sides and I wanted it to print in duplex mode but it won't and I tried doing that directly from the printer, on the laptop and on the phone and it won't. It will take the paper back in after printing on the one side but it just sets it up like it is going to print on the back but it just spits it out without printing. All these issues began within the last week so I feel like it could be the most recent update causing the issue.

HP followed up this morning: "I consulted this case with Level 2 team, they analysed the situation with this particular issue and said that everything has been done on our end, it seems that there is something wrong with the mother board ..."

HP offer a certified refurbished but said it would take 8 days unless I wanted to pay for next day shipping or return / exchange the printer for a new one. I opted to exchange the printer. And it does the same thing so its probably not the motherboard as whatever a Level 2 team concluded.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
