Product: HP m454dw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The laser printer m454dw is set to sleep after 1 minute. About 10-20 seconds later the printer wakes up and you can hear the printer start to hum and warm up. About a minute later the printer goes back to sleep, and repeats and wakes up again10-20 seconds later.

 

The printer is brand new, setup today.

This happens with the Ethernet cable plugged in and when the cable is unplugged.

My new M454dw is doing the same thing. Is anyone going to offer a solution?

Is the wireless function of the printer on or off? What version of firmware is currently installed.  You can check either through the embedded web server or by printing out a report from the control panel.
