There are at least 3 fans in this printer, one of with will run most of the time usually at low speed. If you are noticing it, it could be that the fan is being noisier than usual due to impending failure. The only other causes for this are corrupted firmware that is messing up the fan controller or a failing DC controller. In cases like this a partial clean of the firmware sometimes helps.
