@SDP5, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP LaserJet MFP M227fdw is showing the error code EBS00P0013 and refusing to print, despite being connected to Wi-Fi, it typically indicates a communication or software issue. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:
Power Reset
Perform a hard reset to clear any temporary issues:
- Turn the printer off.
- Unplug the power cord and any USB/Ethernet cables (if connected).
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in and power on the printer.
- Print a configuration report by pressing and holding the Cancel (X) and Wi-Fi buttons together until all LEDs blink. This will print out network and system info, including the IP address.
Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Open a web browser on your computer.
- Enter the printer’s IP address (from the configuration page) into the address bar.
- If the EWS does not load or appears corrupted, this may confirm a firmware issue.
Reinstall Driver & Software (Clean Method)
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program.
- Uninstall all HP-related software (Laser MFP 140 series, HP Smart, etc.).
- Reboot your computer.
- Download HP Easy Start or the Full Software Solution from the HP website for the M227fdw.
- Install using USB first (recommended), then switch to wireless if needed.
Disable WSD and IPv6 (Advanced Network Fix)
- Access the printer’s IP address (EWS) from your browser.
- Navigate to Network Settings > Advanced Settings.
- Disable:
- WSD Printing
- IPv6
This ensures Windows communicates directly via TCP/IP, which can help avoid EBS-related errors.
Firmware Update (if accessible)
- If the EWS loads, try updating the firmware:
- Go to EWS > System > Firmware Update.
- If the EWS fails to load or the update crashes, a USB firmware update may be necessary. I can guide you through that process if needed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
