We are looking to share this printer from a Windows 2016 server. However, we do not want to install the HP Software/Driver package that is available on the website. We have tried HP's UPD driver. Print jobs appear print without error (according to Job queue), but, job never reaches the printer.. I am assuming this printer doesn't support the UPD driver.
Is there any way to simply add a working driver (without additional software) that can be used to share this model?
Cheers

Hi,
The HP UPD driver would not be applicable for a lower-end printer using the PCLmS print language, but for higher PCL languages only.
You may add the printer from the Add Printer wizard of the operating system.
Download and launch the Software installer, as soon as it extracting click No or click Continue:and then Cancel or Close to abort the software installation:
Click the Start button and type %temp% into the search bar, then open the shown Temp folder.
Open the latest HP installation folder which begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234) and copy its path,
Follow the Add Printer wizard within the Control Panel and once prompt for a driver selection click Have Disk and open the located Temp folder, then select the listed INF File and complete the wizard to add a print queue.
