Yes I have the Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277DW.  I downloaded the latest firmware version from the HP support site.  The double clicked the folder.

Unfortunately for me the problem has returned.  All of the steps I tried before are not working.

I just spent the last several minutes with HP tech support.  Since the printer is out of warranty, I was informed that it cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced.  This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard.  I have been a strong promoter of HP products in the past and this event and experience has me reconsidering HP and their products.  To have a printer last less than 18 months is sad and it all started with a message on the printer LCD panel saying there was a firmware available which I initiated the update.

That's crazy! I just turned mine off for a full day and plugged it back in and it worked.

What I understand from my friend who's a technician is that the control board needs changing. It cost about $100 and you can get it from printer part shops online. May require some techy skills to replace.

Printer model is mfp277n. I did some basic reset instruction which founded on internet also try hp tools for firmware update but nothing was changed. Many thanks for your helps.

I read your super quick response. Brilliant effort to try the steps on your own. Kudos to you for that. 🙂 Please find the steps for an NVRAM reset sent you as a private message.Please keep checking your forum private message. Please perform the NVRAM reset first and check if that fixes it. 

 

If it does not please perform the super NVRAM reset and check if that does the trick for you. If the printer has no hardware issues, then this should fix it for you.

I am having an issue with our hp m277dw.  An error appears on the printer screen stating " Ready 2 Dowmload fw corrupt".  I have tried many troubleshooting tasks.  Please submit a way to reset the printer so I may continue to fullfill my job requirements.
