Hi,

I wanted to turn off energy saving on my M281fdw. As suggested at https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/MFP-M281fdw-How-Do-you-Diable-the-enery-Saving-mode/... this requires access to the secondary service menu. This is a bit fiddly to get, and the discussion petered out without a firm conclusion on how to do it on this printer model. I would have replied in that discussion, but it is locked and I get permission errors trying to reopen it.

In case it helps anyone, I can confirm I was able to get into this menu by:

1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, select Setup (Gear icon).
2. Press the space between the Home (House) and Help (?) symbols - on the panel to the left of the screen
3. Select Back arrow above in quick succession to 2.

If you're successful, the next time you go back into setup you will see a new 2ndary service menu at the top. This will contain an Auto On/Auto Off submenu where you can disable it.
