The software update dialog is a disaster. Multiple screens with conflicting messages. Even after downloading the updates, agreeing to delete the existing drivers, waiting for the updates to apply, agreeing to rebooting, it is still showing the update screen.  Not only that, but it has deleted the printer from the list!
Why can't you do it like everyone else does:  download the updates and install them. Try doing it yourself! Better yet, hire a QA department and get them to tell you where you've screwed the dialog up!

Hello,

 

Hope you are well, if the driver update was unsuccessful and by agreeing to delete the existing drivers  it ended up removing the printing software and the printer from the computer printers list. 

The best way to fix it is by making sure the software if the printer is fully removed from the computer, you may use the control panel for that.

Once the software is uninstalled, proceed reinstalling the printer from the Hp.com drivers and software for the M477 printer model.
