Product: MFP M477fdw
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

MFP M477fdw is printing pdf files VERY slowly. 20+ minutes to print a 3 page document. Having this issue from multiple computers in our office all running Mac OS Big Sur. I have unplugged and replugged printer. Unistalled and reinstalled printer. I have downloaded HP Smart which seems to be useless in updating firmware (HP site directs you to download HP Smart when trying to confirm firmware update). Getting very frustrating!

Hello,

 

Hope you are well, its recommended to swap the driver on the Mac computers, you can go to the apple icon , select system  preferences, then select printers and scanners, and then click on the + symbol, select the printer and where it says Use, select Generic PostScript and add the printer, then test the printer by sending documents with the new printer icon. 

 

In case the computer has no drivers to select, please download the drivers and install them from here
