Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP M527 MFP connected via USB cable, but it only shows up as a scanner. I can print to it via network but I need it to work via USB.

I've tried reimaging the PC but same issue. I actually have 2 with same issue. I've tried everything in this thread... https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Scanner-only-detected-Windows-can-t-detect-Printer/t...

You may want to try the USB version of Universal Print Driver. Part of the install is a patch for USB for Windows 10.

I downloaded "ps-usb-setup-x64-7.0.1.24923" and manually installed a printer chose USB for the port.

Printer shows up but nothing prints out. I see the job submitted and disappers but no phycical print job happens.

It is possible to disable printing from USB on these devices through the EWS setup. Log into the EWS by typing the IP address of the printer into a address bar in a browser. If you have assigned a password to the EWS you will need to log in. If you do not have a password set you may need to set one before you can adjust these settings.
