We have a printer that was not working.  We do not own it but the company who does tells me they do not have anyone to come pick it up, but eventually they will.  It is locked down for an obsolete government contract, but I woudl like to reset it completely so that we can use it while it is taking up space, until they do come (eventually) to get it. {likely years from now!}

I am not sure if I will need to replace the SSD, but if so I will.  It has a password on it, but it was only used about 10 times before the contract changed, and laptops changed, and it was decided that scanning woudl no longer be done with it.

Unless I reset it we cannot use it without the original laptop, which no longer exists.

Q1. Is there a way to MASTER REST the unit so that we can set it up to use on other computers?
Q2. Do I need to replace the SSD on it first, and if so, are there specs in particular to consider for that drive?

NOTE:  I take full responsibility for this machine being used as described.  This is a strange situation brought out of COVID changes. But I don't want to trash the good printer/scanner, but the main contract is not really interested in coming to get the thing either.  Help if you feel you can.  I am happy to share my personal info in a private message to alleviate any concerns of theft or mis-use.
