M28w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, it would be so great if I could solve this problem.

My M28w printer worked just well until few days ago,

But after the night when I woke up my PC from sleep mode (printer was connected when I turned it into sleep mode) I found that the printer was not waking up. I can find it turned on as I can hear it rolling after opening & closing the cartridge lid but it does not connect to the pc and has no light on its control panel.

So I tried almost everything I could, including reinstallation of firmware, driver software, hp smart, hard reset of the machine etc, and what I only find is that my PC is recognising the printer (connected by USB cable) as "rbx-load".

Could anybody help me solve this problem?

Thanks.

@sisuv, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Let us try to factory reset the printer.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
