The stored job feature is great but not so great if there's no way to back up those stored print jobs.  As we have discovered, the hard drives in these units can fail.  All the HP documentation and videos I've found point to backing up 'data' using one of two methods; 1. back up to a USB flash drive via the printer's LCD control panel under 'maintenance,' and 2. back up using the printer's local webpage to a local directory on the network.  I've tested and neither method seems to back up stored print jobs.  I sure hope I'm missing something here otherwise this is a major oversight on HP's part.  We store many print jobs and it takes time to load them into 'job storage'. It's a pain to print them all to job storage again if the hard drive dies and it's looking like we will have to!

I know of no documented method for backing them up and yes I agree it is an oversight. That said, they only way that things change/improve is when users provide feedback on features they would like to see. I encourage you to open a case with HP Tech Support explaining that this is a feature you need.

That said, HP does offer some applications including a sharepoint link app that allows you to print files from Sharepoint. Link to user guide here that explains all the features: HP Workpath - HP for SharePoint Online User Guide

This is an app that you subscribe to and you will need to contact a partner or HP to set this up.

That is disappointing but backs up my conclusion.  Thank you Repairatrooper!
