HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw

Hi all,

I am trying to upgrade my M177FW printers firmware but I am having no look.

If I try using the printer or the web page of the printer it doesn`t connect to Web Services, just sits there saying connecting. If I try using the firmware file from hps store it shows the printer. When I click upgrade it instantly goes to the next page saying "Device Update Successful", but it didn`t do anything.

Anyone experience this before or have any recommendations.

I have removed the printer and reinstalled the driver and software.

The printer has now been reset back to defaults
I attempted it both one wired and wireless.

Nothing has change the behavior yet.

Looks like I have addressed my issues.

  • A copy of the HP LaserJet Full Software and Drivers must be installed on the computer used for the firmware update. This software may be found on the same hp.com driver download support page as the firmware download. Some of the files installed with the HP LaserJet Full Software and Drivers are used by the Firmware Updater utility.

just had to make sure all the drivers where installed, something must have been missing.
