Hi Team,
I am using an HP Printer E42540dn, connected to my PC via an IP address, and using the Universal PCL 6 v7.3 driver. The duplex printing setting is auto-enabled on my PC. However, I am facing the following issue:
When printing from Tray 2, the output comes in simplex mode (single-sided).
When printing a single page from Tray 1, the output comes in duplex mode (double-sided).
This inconsistency in duplex printing is causing issues. Please assist in troubleshooting and resolving this problem.

If you have an unsupported paper size or type loaded in tray 2, duplex will be disabled. Note that use of the any or custom setting will cause this as the printer has no way of knowing if the paper is compatible with duplex and to prevent possible jams, simply does not duplex at all.

As this is an enterprise product, it ships with enforced 2 sided printing turned on. You need to go into the embedded web server and under printer defaults, change to single sided as the default.
