HP OfficeJet Pro 8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP Officejet Pro 8600.   recently upgraded to Windows 10 and MS Office Pro 2019 from Windows 7 and Office 2007.

When I go to print in Word 2019 I no longer see settings where I can change to print in Gray Scale, Always Black, etc.  I think this was under Advanced Settings. The only thing options shown now are basic page setup options  and a Properties Link.

I downloaded all recent Drivers from HP but still have same issue.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank You!

Just wanted to let you know that this issue is Partially resolved.

In Windows 10 there is a Setting to make Everything Bigger.  In my case at one point this was change to 125%.  When it got changed back to 100% not everything  went back to 100%.  I think this setting is still making text etc. in some dialogue boxes larger .  In this case in the Printer Properties/Page Layout tab dialogue box.  This "pushed" the ADVANCED OPTIONS/SETTINGS button so far to the bottom right that only the very top of this button was visible and I did not see it.

Sincerely thank you for your assistance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions

Thank you

Thank you for responding!

I followed your steps at least 3 times to make sure I followed them correctly and double checked to see if Printer was Uninstalled at the appropriate step by opening Word and printer was not listed and also devices before  Reinstalling.

I still do not get any Setting dialogue box to change ink settings: Black Only, Grayscale etc. like the Printer Settings from WORD 2007 and Windows 7.  I would like to send you some screen captures but this program doesn't allow it.

Also Printer is set as Default Printer.

Any more thoughts or possibly something I did wrong?  I am open to anything at this point.

Again Thank You!
