Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My MW175 today came up with "Corrupt Firmware" message.   Got the update tool and ran it.  Looked OK up now hung in "Erasing >>>>" stage.

Is this your printer: HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175 ?

Because this printer is no longer supported under Win11 and HP does not provide new firmware!

The latest firmware was made available: 

  • Release date: Aug 8, 2014

for Win 10.

I can run the firmware loader under win 10 and I get the same results.   The LCD says "Downloading" as the firmware is being sent and then hangs with "Erasing >>>".   I am able to talk to the printer but it appears the firmware isn't loading correctly.

Check your firmware version.
Then deactivate the automatic firmware update!

Correction - my device is 

HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw

 

I have confirmed the proper firmware version.   Power on say "Corrupt Firmware, Ready 2 Download".   I run the updater and the LCD changes to "Downloading >>>" and then "Erasing >>>".   Hangs on erasing.

Hi Scott,

 

your printer is old and no longer supported on Windows 11, please read here.

How to check which firmware version is installed on the printer? Download HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175 - User Guide and read page "Setup menu 11" (25) and you find the FW-Date. What is the firmware date?

Compare the firmware date with the firmware date here: HP LaserJet Pro Series Firmware Update Utility, Windows 10 

If the installed firmware date in the printer is older, download the new firmware with the date 20140618.

I recommend to use a USB connection for the update!
