Hi I have the hp deskjet 2700 all in one printer series. I’m looking for the MAC address for my printer to register it for my school Wi-Fi. However, I can’t seem to find the MAC address located on the printer or in the app. I tried hitting the Wi-Fi button and the information button at the same time to print the MAC address, but it didn’t work. What else can I do?

Hi @Grass3
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand how important it is to get your printer connected smoothly, and I appreciate the effort you’ve already put in by trying the button combination.
Let’s walk through a few other ways to locate the MAC address for your HP DeskJet 2700 series printer:
Print a Network Configuration Page
- Make sure the printer is powered on and in a ready state.
- Press and hold the Information (i) button until all control panel lights turn on.
- Then press the Information (i) and Wireless buttons together.
- This should print a Network Configuration Page, where you’ll find the MAC address listed under “Hardware Address” or “Physical Address.”
Check via the HP App on Windows
- Open the HP App on your computer.
- Select your printer from the home screen.
- Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings.
- This will open the Embedded Web Server (EWS) in your browser.
- Navigate to the Network tab, then Wireless (802.11) section.
- The MAC address will be displayed there.
Access through the Embedded Web Server (EWS) directly
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Print a Network Configuration Page to find the printer’s IP address.
- Type that IP address into your browser’s address bar.
- Once the EWS opens, go to Network > Wireless (802.11).
- The MAC address will be listed.
You’ve already done some great troubleshooting, and with these steps you should be able to capture the MAC address clearly. Would you like me to guide you through the quickest option—printing the Network Configuration Page—or would you prefer to use the HP App route on your Windows computer?
