Is it possible to connect a Mac Book Pro - OS Sonoma 14.6.1, to a HP Desk jet 3050 printer.

You can connect your printer to your MacBook using AirPrint:

 

 

or you can print with Wi-Fi Direct:

HP employee. Not official HP support, just a volunteer on the support site.

Hi LGHY,

 

Thank you for the response and suggestions to my issue.

I tried both but unfortunately neither of the options worked. My HP Deskjet 3050 printer, is not as modern as the example on the YouTube video, and had no luck trying to use direct WiFi also. I tried connecting the USB cable directly from the printer to the Mac but this too was unsuccessful.

If you are connecting your printer through USB connection, try following these instructions:
