I used HP smart to install my printer on Mac. This printer is working fine with my PC. But it is not working with Mac after set up. I tried the solution given by expert Shlomil on this forum. But it seems not to be working. I may not be doing it right. Can somebody help me. I will greatly appreciate your help.

 

I am also getting this message on HP Smart:"Your software can authenticate cartridges using an online service. However, access to the internet is not possible at this time."

To assist better -Are you using genuine HP Toners?

 

Meanwhile, try the below suggestions-

 

Try the below suggestions -

  1. Uninstall HP Smart 
  2. Try updating mac/ios and printer firmware
  3. Install HP Smart from the APP store 
    Try updating mac and printer firmware
     

    To update the printer's firmware, refer - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware 
     To update Mac, try these steps - How to update the software on your Mac

Hi Jay_G24,

I will try the suggested solution this weekend, and will let you know. However, if I remember correctly I did reload HP Smart and updated firmware. I will try doing that again. I hope it helps.

I updated Mac OS; Now instead of Catalina, it is Mac Sur.  I reinstalled HP Smart, looked for a firmware. There is none. I reconnected, but I am getting this message. When I press print, nothing prints.
