Hello,
I've just purchased an HP Officejet Pro 7720. Unfortunately HP do not have the driver software for MAC OS 10.6.8. Is there a work around to print?

Hi,
Download and install the following drivers from Apple:
https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1770?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Once installed power on the printer and connect it to your Mac.
From System Preferences > Printe & Fax click the plus sign.
Select the shown printer, within the Use drop down menu click on Select Printer Software.
From the list select and add the HP Officejet 7610 series.
You should now print using the added print queue to your printer up to A3 sizes..
For scanning you may use the Scan to Email app within the Apps menu, that requires the printer to be connected to your network and allow scanning to your email without any software for your Mac.

Shlomi
