I Have a Mac Powerbook operating OS Ventura 13.3.1. I have an MFP M277 PCL 6 with a firmware datecode of 2019-12-03. However, during installation the hp application had me download the file M277_MFP_Series_FW_Update-20220111.dmg, presumably released 2022-01-01, to upgrade the firmware. when I launch that .dmg file, it lauches, but gives the error: " "HP Firmware Updater" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information." screenshots are attached.
I believe this means hp hasn't upgraded the file to comply with Apple's latest security requirements, which maybe isn't a surprise considering the update is over a year old.
Would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
