HP Envy 5530
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I am about to upgrade my MacBook Pro to OS 11.4 (Big Sur).  Will my HP Envy work with this OS?  How do I set it up for the new OS?  Where are the latest drivers for this printer which works very well on my corrent OS 10.15.7 (Catalina)?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

It should work 🙂

You'll find all the drivers here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-5530-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304881/mo...

Let me know if this helps.

You're likely to have a lot of trouble. I have a LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw and can't print most PDF files or images from my MacBook Pro running 11.4. I have another MacBook running Catalina and it works just fine. Of course my work computer and the one I use most of the day is the Big Sur computer. I had to create a share drive and print these files from a nearby Windows desktop. The drivers haven't been updated since November 12, 2020. I keep asking when HP is finally going to supply a working 11.4 driver. No joy yet

Your comments about the difficulty with an upgrade to Mac OS Big Sur are what I thought would be the case.  My guess is that HP will not provide the drivers, thus forcing the need to buy another printer.  So disapointing!

I had/have a Canon MFP in my old office that just worked with every update including Big Sur. I bought an HP for the new place because the Canon didn’t support 5G networks thinking the HP was more state of the art. Well maybe for Windows but not for Mac. Very disappointed. I’m about ready to find out which Canon has 5G support and go back to that. Their scan utility is also way better than Easy Scan.
