HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw
macOS 12.0 Monterey

I have two different computers -- one running Mac OS Ventura 13.2 and another runningMonterey 12.5.1  and have the latest HP drivers for my Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw on both. Within the last week, both computers on the same wired network as the printer are no longer able to see the printer to print to it. I tried power cycling everything (including the router) to no avail. When I delete the printer and set it up again, the printer shows up via Bonjour with no issues and is configurable, but printing to it fails. I checked my router and the printer is able to connect and is pulling an IP address via DHCP, and I'm also able to access the printer configuration webpage with no issues so I am not convinced that this is a network problem. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so how did you fix it? Thank you!

Thank you for the reply! Unfortunately these instructions did not fix the issue as the printer was not showing up in the print dialog box. I tried a number of things and now it seems to be working on both computers:

1) Reinstall fresh firmware (same version) - this didn't seem to have any effect

2) Reset the network settings to defaults - then the printer showed up in the "Add Printer" dialog box! However, HP Easy Scan could not reach the scanner.

3) Power-cycle the router, computer, and printer

4) Reinstall the HP software package for the printer

While it is working at the moment for both printing and scanning with 2 different computers, I'm not confident that I was able to identify the root cause as the debugging steps above amount to, "reset everything and hopefully it fixes it"
