Product: HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

When I try to print a DOCX, absolutely nothing happens.  When I try to print a PDF, the screen appears, then I get the error message "document could not be printed" then "no pages selected to print" then Acrobat Pro apologies.  I reinstalled the driver for the model, and nothing changed.  I tried downloading firmware, but a chaotic page appeared.

How is your printer connected ?    USB or wirelessly ?

Have you installed HP SMART.

 

When I was on Big Sur last October, I had to remove all the HP drivers (HP UNINSTALL) and then setup my printers with HP SMART.  The old printer drivers may not be working for your Mac any longer.

 

Lastly, check your printer's firmware and update it, if you can.
