I am at my wits end. Everything was working, but when I removed printer settings now my Macbook won't recognize my printer.

HP Smart app does not recognize when it's plugged in with USB.

I have followed every guide on here including uninstalling and reinstalling all possible software.

Thanks for the response, but this doesn't work. I'm on Big Sur 11. Followed the link to install the drivers, got the following error message when trying to install:

“HewlettPackardPrinterDrivers.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

Sadly you guys have outdated software for Big Sur. Please help.
