Officejet 5610 All-in One - Product # Q7310A
macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hi community

I am using the Officejet 5610 AiO with Windows 10 and that works fine.

I bought a MacBook Pro 13" ( OS 10.14.5) and I can not connect the Mac with the HP Printer. I did go to the HP Drivers and SW website and I could install the driver without any error. I also tried HP Easy Start but the corresponding driver "could not automatically be identified".

When I look in " Printers" @ the MAC side it shows the 5610 off line

Anyone who can advise on how to connect the 2?

Greetings

Hi,

Do you connect the printer with a USB cable to your Mac?

As this is a USB only printer, it must be connected to the computer to print.

When the USB is connected, confirm any prompt to install the latest drivers and check.

Hi Shlomi

Thanks for your fast response; yes the USB cable is connected

It was after I posted my question I noticed the scanner works: iow physically there is a connection and they do communicate, just not for printing
