I’ve often had problems with my printer connecting to my laptop but this evening, after printing 10 sheets, it stopped and said the next print job couldn’t find the printer. I disconnected the printer and when I went to re-install it, it can find it but can’t connect to it. Earlier, I had a pop-up which said fax.backend will damage my computer so I moved it to the bin, but the printer still isn’t connecting. Can anyone help me please? I don’t know what else to do. I’m working off a MacBook Pro with the latest update

@Goldchatter, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print from your Mac. Let us try these steps:

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - A [software component] will damage your computer message displays when printing or while installing ...

Use AirPrint driver to print from your Mac as shown in this document - Printing with Apple AirPrint (Mac)

If the printer is not connected to the wireless network or if the blue wireless light is blinking on the printer,

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the Mac are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
