macOS 12.0 Monterey

Have download the HP Easy Start, went through smoothly and at the switch to the HP driver keep getting unable to communicate. Was able to get recognized by the computer and by the app. When printing, the task bar shows it prints really quickly but actually nothing get printed. Thank you!

Hi,

First, let's try resetting the printing system and check if that may help:

*Be aware that resetting the printer system will remove any existing print queue and reset any customized driver settings.

Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences .
Select Print & Fax.
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your product in the Printers list in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system .
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user Name and Password .
Click OK . The printing system resets.

 

If the same persists, please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.

Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:

As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and check for any difference.

 

If following any of the steps above there is n change, please try another USB cable, not longer than 2 meters long and ensure it is directly connected to the printer, not through any USB hubs or extensions as possible, a faulty adapter is also a possibility, so I suggest trying to replace it too and check if that may help.
