Make stored jobs the default for all network users - M554

Our building uses an HP LaserJet Color M554 printer. All users in the building have access to print to it.

To cut down on ink usage, I'd like to change the default printer settings for all network users to have every job sent to it be a stored or personal job, rather than the jobs printing automatically. 

We have tried: going into Windows printer settings and changing the default options as an administrator, but that doesn't change the settings for all users. We've tried changing the default settings on the printer itself, but that isn't working either. My colleague and I are at a loss on how to make this change across the board for all users. 

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Main way to do this is through locking down the driver to only allow stored jobs. If users have rights to modify drivers this will be a problem. What firmware are you using. Provide revision number and I will see if there is a hardware lock that you can set as well.

With FS 5.7 you can force all users to use a pin code by telling the printer to simply delete any print jobs that are sent that are not pin protected.
