Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I have never had problems printing before but now have a pop-up saying I can not print this document using the HP connected printer due to Malware. I have Malware scanning software on my new computer and it did not detect anything. I have deleted everything related to the printer software they are flagging and still running into the same problem.

 

Based on other threads it looks like the HP warranty has expired-but I have been printing fine with this printer and would not like to invest in another one. I have tried several solutions and none has worked-including the ones from HP reps themselves.

The solution is to download (and install) this package which will update drivers AND THE CERTIFICATE:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-essen...

If the link comes up blank, try right clicking and saving it. If you install this package and still have trouble, try uninstalling your printer and reinstalling.

Easy Admin did nothing. Easy Startup did nothing. 5.1 drivers did nothing. This worked for me!
