Unfortunately, responses here don't attach to the message being responded to. Also there are several solutions listed here. So when someone says, "It worked" or "It didn't't work," no one knows which method was tried. When responding, it would be helpful if you listed the message number which had the solution tried.

I'm having the same issue. I've run Malware Bytes several times since this first appeared on or around 11/1/2020, with "0" malware items detected every time.
Has anybody been able to resolve this, and if so, how?

Macbook pro catalina
4527 all-in-one
I scrubbed all hp components from my macbook then only reinstalled hp smart. I stopped getting the inkjet and another malware message but it blocks the printing saying I need to download some software to print...
From my iPhone 11 though I'm able to print just fine for some reason so as a work around I just airdrop from my mac to my phone and print...
Hope they resolve the issue asap

Same problem here. MacOS is latest update from today, HP driver is actual version from yesterday, however the message still occurs, At least I can do printing by just ignoring the error messages.
I wanted to completely uninstall HP software as suggested, but the "Uninstall" field is greyed to. How to continue from here?
EDIT: Meanwhile I could figure out, how to deinstall all HP software. After doing this, I have reinstalled completely new, and now everything works fine without error message.

This is horrible. My computer slows to a CRAWL after printing anything, to the point that I have to an entire restart and lose whatever I was working on.
So, thanks for causing me to lose work since all that I wanted to do was print an innocuous invoice while working on other stuff. Ridiculous.

I used the described technique with great success. It did not find software for my older HP Envy 110 (411a) but did for my HP Envy 4520 printer. After going through the uninstall reinstall process, the software worked well for both printers. Glorious!!

I am having the same issue with the "matterhorn.." error. Your note from 10/23 says you are working to fix it. It is now 11/9 and it is still not fixed. When will it be done so we don't need to continue clicking through error poop-up windows to print?
