HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP E78323-30dn - Base Product 23-30ppm

We have 5 of these printers set up with Job Accounting to track printing at the department level. Each department has a Device User Account with an Access Code that is used in the driver for Job Accounting and used to "sign-in" at the machine for copying/scanning.

A local address book/contact list was set up on each printer using the EWS web GUI for each printer. I'd like this to be default/only address book.

When users sign-in at the machine control panel using their departments Job Accounting code - the default contact list is a "Personal" contact list that is specific to that Device User Account and NOT the local one that was setup.

Is there a way to disable the "Personal" accounts OR a way to manage them from the EWS web interface?

To be clear - these are NOT the "Personal" address books associated with Microsoft Exchange - AD/Exchange sign-in is NOT enabled and the setting for "Enable Personal Contacts (when users sign in to Windows at the device)" is NOT enabled.

I would advise an update to FS 5.7 as an aside.

For the address issue try disabling the ability to manage personal address books under the security settings.

Thank you. I had the firmware updated when I found it was out of date. The machines are all running on 5.7 now.

I tried that setting when initially troubleshooting. Disabling the ability to manage the address books doesn't disable the address book, just the ability to add/remove addresses in the books. The "personal" address book is still the default address book when someone accesses the contacts.

I'm looking to either disable the personal address books, be able to manage them remotely via the EWS, or to make the "local" address book the default when someone opens the contacts.
