Can anyone please help me to find older firmware versions for the MFP 77830 ? Does anyone know why if you have an OEM cartridge on this model why would the cartridges stop working with a firmware upgrade ? I am experiencing a 10.05.03 supply memory error

               Hello praytel,

Ink cartridges have built-in metal contact ports that connect to the corresponding contact ports in the printer. This feature is what enables communication and functionality between the two. In the event that the metal contacts inside the printer are dirty or damaged, there is a large possibility that the cartridge won’t be read. If this is the case for your printer, you can carefully wipe the contacts down with a clean cloth.

If the contacts of the ink cartridge are the problem, you can clean their contacts with a lint-free cloth or cotton buds. Here’s how:

Shut down and unplug your printer.

Carefully remove the ink cartridge or toner and place it onto a flat surface.

Identify the metal contacts on the cartridge.

Identify the connection points inside the printer.

Lightly wipe the metal contacts with a dry lint-free cloth or cotton buds in order to remove any dirt, duset, or residue. Keep in mind that you need to wipe them carefully and gently in order to prevent any damage. Do this for both the ink cartridge and the printer’s contact points.

Place the ink cartridge back into the printer.

Power the printer back on.

Try printing again.

Hello Bernard42 thanks for your help I will certainly try the solution. Do you know if the contacts for the cartridges on the printer has a part number ?

When I removed the toners and put them in  another printer of the same model they worked perfectly. Do you know if there is a repository of older drivers for managed printers E78330  ?

                   Hello praytel,

Nouvel emballage et nouvelle étiquette pour les cartouches d'encre HP 60, 121 et 300

In November 2022, HP changed the packaging and labeling of HP 60, 121, and 300 ink cartridges. The cartridges for your printer are numbered 60.

Packaging and label changes Cartridges with new labels and delivered in new packaging are genuine HP products. The new packaging includes an orange banner with the message "Replaces HP 703, 901 cartridges" or "Replaces 901 cartridges." The new labels read "60/121/300/675/703/818/901" or "60XL/300XL/675XL/703XL/901XL". The HP 60XL tri-color, 300XL tri-color, 675, 703 and 901 ink cartridges are no longer manufactured and are now replaced by the HP 60, 121 and 300 ink cartridges.

I work for a managed partner and i have not seen an issue like this on a E778 series caused by a firmware update. Please post the firmware version you have installed and I can do some checking for  you. Also confirm the error code as the one you posted does not appear in troubleshooting documents. You may need to contact the partner you purchased the units from  or HP technical support for assistance.

Hello HP community , I still believe the firmware is responsible for the OEM toners as they work perfectly without error  10.05.03 when placed in a different device of the same model. We cleaned the contacts on the toner however the contacts on the printer itself are at the back of the printer with no visible way to reach it.

Can you advise where I can find an older firmware to install so the supplies can be used again if  the solution for cleaning contacts the does not work
