Hello there,
Greetings!
I have a concern with our office printer. I just changed the cartridges (both black and colored) and when the printer started to print the alignment print out, it has missing lines on it. When I printed and photocopied documents, the same thing happened. I waited for an hour or so to print a different document and it looked fine. However when I printed other documents, the missing lines still existed as you can see in the photo below.
Please let me know what I should do.
Sincerely,
Mia_E

A very warm welcome to the HP community. A very good day to you.
I understand that you have an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2645 All-in-One Printer. I read that you have replaced the ink cartridges on the printer and since then the print quality is not good. I read that there are missing lines while printing and copying. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you.
I would like to know the following information to assist you better:
- Are you using the original HP cartridges or refilled cartridges?
- Did the printer go through the alignment process after installing the new cartridges?
Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
- Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
If the issue persists then please perform the following steps from this HP document:
- Solution six: Print and evaluate a Print Quality Diagnostic Report.
- Step one: Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Report.
- Step two: Check the Print Quality Diagnostic Report for defects.
- Step three: Align the printer.
- Step four: Clean the printhead using an automated tool.
- Step six: Clean the area around the ink nozzles.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know. Cheers! 🙂
