Hi, I have some problems with my old HP Photosmart C3180, connected by usb.

Suddenly I have the message "waiting for the printer to be available".

I have reset the printing systems, reload the printer but now some part of the printer driver is missing.

How can I resolve this problem?

Now the printer is not working at all

Thanks

Hi,

Please power off the printer and reset the printing system as following:

*Be aware that resetting the printer system will remove any existing print queue and reset any customized driver settings.

Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences .
Select Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your product in the Printers list in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system .
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user Name and Password .
Click OK . The printing system resets.

Next, download and install the latest HP Printer Drivers package from Apple:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US

Once completing the installation, power on the printer and it should reconfigure on the Mac, then try printing and check for any difference.

If it is not added automatically, from System Preferences select Printers & Scanners, click the plus sign and select your printer.

Be sure to select your printer model within the Use drop-down menu and then press on Add.

Please let me know how it goes,

Shlomi
