My HP 22f is an excellent monitor, but the box says 75Hz, after downloading the hp Driver I can only still set the monitor to 60 (Hz). What is the problem?

I normally use the VGA socket which is stuck at 60 Hz , but if I use the HDMI socket I can get the refresh rate up to 75 Hz. I've tried to download the latest driver (1.0.0.0  : 18/9/2017), but it doesn't help. Any ideas?

I don't know your computer but on MANY computers (specially notebooks/laptops) which have HDMI 1.2, 1.4 or 1.4b ports, they ONLY support 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.

HP monitor 22f. I am using a laptop and a tower. The laptop using HDMI can have a refresh rate of 75Hz, but the tower, which has a more advanced graphics card (nVidia GT520) uses a VGA and can only refresh at 60Hz. Any ideas?
