I'm not sure if what I did was "PM" ing you. Didn't know what that meant. But ---

I did everything exactly as you said, in that order with the suggested restarts. I was so hopeful when everything was done. But I got the same message as 5 days ago:  Waiting for printer to be available.  I waited 15 minutes. Shut off the computer and the printer. Let them rest. Turned everything back on. Tried to print again. Tried a pdf and a word document. Still got the message. It's been waiting on the printer 15 minutes. So, I've given up.

The printer was working fine until I was prompted to download HP Smart app last week. Could that app be getting in the way of communication?
