HP DeskJet 2636 All-in-One Printer

Hello, my HP DeskJet 2636 printer does not have an option to print. I go on the HP smart app and it doesn’t show any option to change it to color. It use to be able to print in color, but I’m not sure what changed. There is ink in the printer and I have already aligned it multiple times and reconnected and disconnected as well.

If your HP DeskJet 2636 printer is not providing the option to print in color, there are several potential solutions you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your color ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Sometimes, low ink levels can restrict the printer from printing in color.

Printer Settings: Verify that the default settings for your printer are not set to grayscale or black and white. Access the printer properties or settings through the control panel on your computer or through the HP Smart app. Look for an option like "Color" or "Grayscale" and ensure it's set to color.

Printer Driver Update: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Visit the HP website, search for your printer model, and download and install the latest drivers if needed.

HP Smart App Settings: In the HP Smart app, check for any settings related to color printing. Sometimes, the app might have specific settings that override the default printer settings. Look for options like "Print Quality" or "Color Options" within the app.

Print Preferences: When you attempt to print a document, check the print preferences or properties before sending the print job. Look for settings related to color and ensure that it's set to color printing.

Reinstall Printer: Remove the printer from your computer and reinstall it. This can help refresh the settings and ensure that the correct drivers are in place.

Firmware Update: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve overall performance.
