Hi @Finig76,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand how frustrating it is when your DeskJet 2700e suddenly refuses to print, especially when everything looks like it should be working. Let’s walk you through a few steps to get things flowing again.

1. Check for Error Lights

  • Look at the printer’s control panel. Is the information light, Wi-Fi light, or any ink alert light blinking or solid orange?
  • If so, note the pattern or color and refer to the quick reference guide, or let us know what you see.

2. Restart Devices

  • Power off the printer, unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
  • Restart your computer or mobile device.
  • This clears temporary glitches that may prevent printing.

3. Check Wi-Fi or USB Connection

  • If you're printing wirelessly, make sure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • If using USB, check the cable and try a different port.
  • You can also print a Wireless Network Test Report by pressing the Information (i) button and the Wi-Fi button together.

4. Use the HP Smart App to Diagnose

  • Open the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.
  • Go to your printer > “Printer Status” or “Diagnose & Fix.”
  • This tool can often detect and automatically resolve problems.

5. Check for Print Queue Issues (Windows)

  • Type “Printers & scanners” into the Start menu.
  • Select your HP DeskJet 2700e > click Open print queue > remove any stuck print jobs.
  • Right-click the printer and select Set as default, if it isn’t already.

6. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

Visit HP Software & Driver Downloads, HP DeskJet 2700e All-in-One series Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support, and install the latest driver for your system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
